Job Summary:The Database developer will create and implement computer databases utilizing Azure Datalake and other solutions. They will analyze company needs by and create effective database management protocols and SOPs so the system will meet the needs of the users and the business. They will test database programs for efficiency and performance while troubleshooting and correcting issues. To assist with processes and projects, the Database developer will utilize their knowledge of software, data integrity practices and programming languages. They will run performance testing procedures to ensure databases function correctly, and they troubleshoot potential problems. The Database developer will create and submit testing reports and information to improve the database system when necessary, and generate documentation about the system, providing users with an operational manual and supporting documentation. When changes occur, they will update the documentation. Database developers need a bachelor's degree in computer science, advanced SQL skills, and knowledge of new and emerging technologies.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the team to detect, diagnose, and remediate production issues.
  • Lead, coach and advise project teams
    • Design, implement and maintain Database processes, procedures and policies in support of business analytics, reporting and enhancements.
      • May maintain or oversee the maintenance of existing software.
        • Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion.
          • Work with data analysts on refining business rules.
            • Contribute to departmental and program goals and objectives, and development.
              • Confer with end-users to collect, analyze and document business requirements as it relates to data needs.
                • Implement new software technology and coordinate end-to-end tasks across the team.
                  • Perform effective version control management in all aspects of project documentation.
                    • Manage approval process with leadership team.
                      • Facilitate and work with teams to quickly identify, debug, and resolve technical project challenges.
                        • Carry out monitoring, tuning, and database performance analysis.
                          • Utilize ad-hoc techniques to perform on-the-fly analysis of data.
                            • Develop and maintain standards, risk management approaches, training, and internal checks and balances.
                              • Design and implement SQL queries and new reports to support business needs.
                                • Work with users on a day-to-day basis to be continuously aware of their specific requirements and issues.
                                  • Create and maintain SQL agent jobs that provide customer reporting and data maintenance.
                                    Required Skills/Abilities:
                                    • Must be 21 or older
                                    • Strong written and oral communication skills
                                    • Ability to thrive, multi-task, prioritize, and follow-up and issue resolution with internal teams
                                    • Ability to problem solve and work in a fast environment without a lot of structure and/or supervision
                                    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks/priorities
                                    • Experience using SQL, SQL Server, PL/SQL or MYSQL
                                    • Experience with AL programming a plus
                                      Education and Experience:
                                      • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 or similar ERP system
                                      • 3+ years of experience working with relational databases as a developer
                                      • Bachelor's degree in a related Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics or computer science or equivalent work experience
                                      • 3+ Years working with Azure Datalake
                                      • 3+ Azure Data Factory
                                      • 3+ Years working with Alteryx or similar software
                                      • 1+ Years Power BI
                                      • Salesforce knowledge a plus
                                      • Accounting experience a plus
