Accelerated Career Growth! Great Work Environment! Job Details Responsibilities: As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for: 1. Overseeing the financial operations of the hospitality sector, ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations. 2. Developing and maintaining timely and accurate financial statements and reports appropriate for users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 3. Managing the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial reports. 4. Establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust financial systems and internal controls to minimize financial risk. 5. Reviewing and improving processes for month-end and year-end financial close, driving efficiencies and accuracy. 6. Working closely with the hospitality team to ensure accurate and timely EOM accruals. 7. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. 8. Coordinating audits and proper filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements. 9. Managing the budgeting process and preparing accurate forecasts to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree such as a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the Hospitality sector 3. Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is a significant plus. 4. Comprehensive knowledge and experience with financial systems, internal controls, and month-end close procedures. 5. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills. 6. Strong understanding of EOM accruals and accounting principles. 7. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 8. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. 9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions. 10.
